summer sewing roundup

Last night I decided to take a break from the Bluebird Top and work on something else just to clear my brain.  Bad idea! Turns out swimsuit material and I don't play nice together :)  After an hour and a half (30 minutes of which was spent fighting my serger) I didn't have anything more to show for my time than I did when I started, except for perhaps a slight more healthy respect for people who can actually sew usable swimwear!  I will try again, but for now I would rather focus on something slightly more successful. So here's a roundup of what I have sewn for Mae so far this summer. And honestly, unless we have some kind of bizarre heat wave, I doubt I will sew much more. I'd rather get started on Fall sewing anyway :)  Just in case you were wondering about the lack of bottoms, she also has a couple of pairs of store bought denim skirts and shorts.  And, for full disclosure, Mae also has a few of the $4.95 knit tank dresses from H&M ;)  I can never pass those up!

  1. These are so cute!! I bought the pattern from compagnie-m because of your post! :)

  2. Very cute stuff. Its always helpful to see it all in one post. I'm starting to plan for fall too. Keep those cuffed denim shorts in her fall wardrobe!

    1. I always need to see everything in one place, otherwise I never think I made enough :)

I'm planning on keeping the denim shorts for fall, plus I want to add a corduroy pair. I love cuffed shorts with tights!
