craftiness is not optional reversible wrap top ... take 2

I really like this pattern, so I wanted to try the bigger size and see if the fit is better.  Just in case you missed it, I first blogged about it here. I'm happy to report that the size 2/3T, although slightly big (as expected) will work great this fall/winter with a long sleeve shirt under it :)  And Mae should be able to wear it next spring & summer as well.  Gotta love that!

Please ignore her look in the first picture.  I have no idea what she was thinking at that particular moment, and to be honest, I'm not sure I really want to know!  She doesn't look too happy with me.

We have had the most dreary weather here in Michigan the last few days.  It's been drizzly and the temp didn't even break 70 today.  And my pictures look like they were taken in exactly those conditions, but I refuse to use a flash in the middle of the day in August.  I will not give in and accept this awful weather!  Maybe if I'm stubborn enough, summer will come around again :)

I made this little top using the exact same fabrics as the last time ... I really love the combo just in case you couldn't tell :)  I did use ties like the pattern calls for which was way easier than buttons, although Mae hates the feel of the tie on the inside of the shirt.  She keeps reaching in there and trying to untie it!  But I don't think it will bother her once she has another shirt underneath it, so I'm not worried about it.

Don't you love how Mae rides a scooter?  She tries so hard to be like the big kids and keep up with everything they do, but she still has trouble staying upright while walking sometimes, so scooter riding is pretty much out of the question at this point in time :)

I was looking back at some of the first posts (like this one) on this blog, and I can't believe how much older Mae looks after only about four months.  My last baby is growing up on me :(

    1. SE Michigan, so not that close actually! And I know what you mean about meeting local sewers. There really doesn't seem to be that many of us, at least not ones that are obsessed with it like I am :)

    1. The pattern was cute enough to make twice! And that's saying a lot because I rarely reuse a pattern :)
